nightlife
The nightlife in Salamanca Thanks to its University, this city is a perfect place for going out for a good time. People say that the best cities in Spain for night life are Santiago, Salamanca and Granada. And if noisy bars are not for you, Salamanca also has lots of sidewalk cafes where you can enjoy a quiet drink and a chat. * Going out during the school yearUsually students go out just at weekends. You can enjoy yourself going out from Thursday to Saturday.Salamanca is so full of good places to go for a night out that it is not easy to offer specific advice. If you go out on Thursday you can find bars with special offers (parties, second drink free, etc.) and you can finish off the night at a disco. On Friday or Saturday you will find most places full of people, so choosing one spot or another is up to you. In some bars on Friday nights you get your second drink free (in Pino, for example). If you like rock, punk and that sort of thing, you will want to go to La Iguana, Paniagua, Chao, or Rivendel. And to top off the evening, there is of course El Potenkim, and later (after 6:00 a.m.) El Contrastes (not the place for you if you don’t like crowds). There is also a variety of spots for other types of music. * Going out in SummerIn summer there are fewer people, but there are more foreign visitors, who tend to like to go out every night. They frequent places like Camelot, Puerto de Chus, Submarino, Moderno, Cum-Laude and El Sol. The most popular meeting point is "the Litro Bar" (not its real name) on the corner near Morgana. As a foreign student you can take advantage of lots of cheap drinks (not always of particularly good quality), along with parties and special promotional nights at certain places.Discounts are available in summer, at El Helmántico, for example. Another interesting thing in summer in Salamanca (and in Spain in general) is the large number of local festivals. In August there are a lot of local festivals in the towns around Salamanca, while the Salamanca festival starts on the 8th of September and finishes on the 21st.SO... are we going during the school year, or during the summer????

The city of Salamanca The province of Salamanca situated in the South-west corner of Castile & León on the borders with extremadura and Portugal, covers an area of 12,336 sq. km (4,763 sq. m.). Lying on Spain's Northern Plateau (meseta), it forms part of the Duero river system where Paleozonic soils, poorly suited to cultivation, have resulted in a landscape of pastures, dotted with trees and bushy undergrowth. Winters tend to be relatively long, with minimum temperatures averaging around 6ºC (42,8ºF), while the shortish summers are marked by average highs that never climb above 20ºC - 22ºC (68ºF-71ºF). The city is large enough (180.000 inhabitants) to be able to offer the advantages of a real city, but at the same time it keeps the intimacy of a village. In Salamanca, the inhabitants speak the "purest" Spanish in Spain - Castilian. For this reason Salamanca is enormously popular with people all over the world who want to learn Spanish. Contacts are made easily. You don't have to make rendezvous as you are bound to see everyone in the Plaza Mayor, one of the finest squares in Spain and known as the living room of the Salamantinos. As there is such a varied range of nationalities, it is tempting to keep to fellow don Quijote students. Salamanca is however, a real university city, Spanish students are everywhere and you can go practically everywhere on foot. SO EXCITED!

This is what I am...
<td>You are a Fork. You are special, unique... and shiny.... but you just don't know it. Many admire you for your outward appearance, but you haven't truly expressed all of the great stuff inside of you. You have the potential to do great things and help others, and this will help you in the future. When you hold a grudge at someone, however, this can be dangerous. Despite your calmness that most people perceive about you, you keep a lot of feelings bottled up inside that one day can make you explode and stab something. Instead of resorting to that, you can say, "Go Fork Yourself!"Most compatible with: Knife, and Sock.Click here -- What Random Object Represents Your Inner Self?</td>*rolls the eyes* If this is what I am, then Bruce Willis is my lover. Not that I would want him to be... But just so you all can consider the absurdity of this shite.

Well, being that I only have about three semesters left to do better, I think I kind of have to do better next semester. Kenito, how did you do for Social Problems???? LAtaz.

If he only knew...
If he knew how much control he had over my emotions, he would by no doubt consider himself the most powerful dictator that ever lived...BUT - finals are over. So now I won't be able to feel so guilty about thinking about him so much....
